William "Bill" G Smith

Smith-William G. “Bill”, 76, Nanty Glo, passed away April 17, 2024 at home. He was born March 25, 1948 in Nanty Glo. Son of the late William F. and Helen (Simmers) Smith. Preceded in death brothers and sisters-in-law Philip Peroni, Sonny (Elaine) Flick, Dee (George) Cavanaugh, Joe (Linda) Flick, and Diane Flick. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Kathy (Flick) Smith. Children Christine (Wayne) Butler, Jr., Craig (Heather) McCullough, Nicole (Joey) Blosser, Todd (Christine) McCullough, Julie (JP) Morisi, Amy McCullough. Grandchildren Wayne C. (Kristin) Butler, Kevin (Susie) Butler, Andie and Maggie McCullough, Ciara and Brayden Blosser, Keara and Thomas McCullough, Johnpeter Morisi, III, Rhys and Mckenna Miller. Great grandson Logan Scott Butler. Sister Nancy Peroni, nieces and nephews Philip W. and Shelly Peroni, and Angela and Robert Foti. Brothers and sisters-in law Jim (Janet) Biglin, Paula (Terry) Boucher, Mary Ann (Ron) Mychajlonka , Ruth (Lou) Leonard, Jack (Sharon) Flick, Paul Flick, and Jean (John) Hudson, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Member of St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo. He was retired from the USMC after 17 years, was a Wounded Warrior and he served in the Vietnam War. He was a regular at Commons Hardware. Life member of the Nanty Glo Fire Department. Visitation will be Sunday, from 3-8 PM at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Nanty Glo Fire Dept, services will be held 6 PM. Funeral Mass will be Monday, 10:30AM at St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo, Fr Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Military Services will be held by the Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks, And Vintondale VFW Ritual Team.
