William A. Scott

Scott-William A., 85, Nanty Glo, passed away August 29, 2022, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born in Nanty Glo, son of the late Andrew and Stephania (Sekerak) Scott. Preceded in death by beloved wife the former Shirley J. (Prave-Salyards); stepson Glenn “Butch” Salyards; brothers Joseph (Margaret) Olsavsky; Michael (Ann) Olsavsky; Peter (Pauline) Olsavsky; Ignatius (Irene) Olsavsky; Andrew (Catherine) Scott; John Scott, and sister Mary (George) Zelinsky. Survived by sister, Sister Agnes Scott, CSA; step-daughter-in-law Dolores Salyards, step -granddaughter, Stacey (Donnie) Holladay, step-great grandson Andrew, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a retired steel worker, a retired state worker and a veteran of the Armed Forces serving in the United States Army. He will be sadly missed by all. According to Bill’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held Sept. 10, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo, Fr. Leonard Vortek, the Celebrant. Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Nanty Glo, are in charge of the services.
