Villa – Janet “Jake” (Olstein) 80, Nanty Glo passed away May 5, 2023 at Home. She was born Oct 14, 1942 in Nanty Glo. Daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Petrosky) Olstein. Preceded in death by brothers: Francis Olstein and Theodore Olstein. Sisters: Cecelia Belohlavek and Josephine Post. Niece Leda Lynn Post. Cousins: Josephine and Diane Lesso. Former Husband and Father of their children Joseph “Punda” Villa. Brother-in-law Jack Lickert. Janet is survived by children: Joseph (Jodi) Villa, Jr, Francis (Joan) Villa, Michele (Boyd) Sherry, Elena (Perry “Turk”) Sheesley, Cynthia (Denton) Bodenschatz and William (Angela) Villa. Grandchildren: Kristen (Wes), Michael (Isabella), Senior Airmen Matthew (Kylie), Staff Sergeant Cory (Cassie), Nicole (Chase), Lakyn (Ryan), Zachary (Angela), Devin, Dauson, Allen “AJ” and Dominic. Great-Grandchildren: Remyele, Paisley, Adley, Kaleah, Milani, Lukah, Sayora and Everly. Sister: Phyllis Lickert. Brothers: Joseph Olstein, William (Cindy) Olstein, James (Mary) Olstein and Richard (Stacey) Olstein. Special nieces: Leslie Myers and Jonnette Lickert and numerous other nieces and nephews. God children Dr. Christopher Post and John “JJ” Craig. Special friend Steve “Coke” Kovach. Janet was a founding member and advisor of the Nanty Glo Explorer Group for teenagers. Life member of the Nanty Glo Fire Ladies Auxiliary where she held the offices of President and Secretary. Cambria County Fire Ladies Auxiliary. Janet loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. The men and women of the East Conemaugh Fire Company hold a special place in Janet’s heart. They are her extended family. The family would like to thank AseraCare Hospice for their care of Janet. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Nanty Glo Fire Ladies Auxiliary Services will be at 6 PM. Funeral Mass will be Monday, 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church or the Nanty Glo fire Company.
