ANDERSON – Barry Cleveland Sr., Johnstown (formerly of Ebensburg), passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 peacefully at home. Barry was born October 30, 1947 in Johnstown to Ellsworth and Lillian (Grove) Anderson. He was the youngest of thirteen siblings. He attended school in the Blacklick Valley School District and was then drafted and served in Vietnam. After serving in the military, he returned home and married his love Charlene Faye (Fulton) Anderson and had five children. He began his career working in a local gas station as a young man then went on to work in the coal mines before finishing his career in the steel mill. He spent many years as a volunteer firefighter and EMT and volunteered his time coaching and umpiring little league baseball. He loved spending countless hours in the woods hunting and fishing. Proceed in death by his wife, Charlene and infant daughter, Tammy Renee. He is survived by his children Shelly Ott and husband Eric, Becky Stephens and husband Thomas, Barry Anderson Jr. and wife Stephanie, Melissa Jones and husband Cory. Grandchildren, Brendan Ott and wife Emily, Ethan, Evan and Owen Stephens, Ian, Kylie, Julia and Megan Anderson, Aiden and Landen Jones and a large extended family. Family and friends received from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m.
