Sylvia Kupchella

Sylvia (Monborne) Kupchella, 93, died March 6, 2015, at Cambria Care Center. Born July 19, 1921, in Robindale, daughter of the late Isidore and Alexandrine (Tailliez) Monborne. Preceded in death by husband, Martin "Fitch" Kupchella; brothers, Isidore, Edward, Louie and Emil; and sister, Emaline Martin. Survived by children, Bernard, Mundys Corner; Nancy (Larry) McCreary, Nanty Glo; Patricia (Greg) Zeglen, Belsano; and Martin (Sally), Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Greg (Kathy), Brian (Pam), Lisa, Eric (Christine), Cindy (Jerry), Shawn (Kara), Stacey and Shane; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles (Shirley), Monborne, Ebensburg. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Former teacher at St. Stanislaus and St. Mary's schools. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a liturgical wake will be held Monday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Leonard Voytek, celebrant. Interment, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Church.
