Stephen A. “Cuba” Szekeresh, 68, Mundy’s Corner, passed away, Aug 13, 2024 at home. He was born on March 5, 1956, in Colver. Son of the late Michael Joseph and Kathryn (Hresko) Szekeresh.
Preceded in death by sister Michelle Szekeresh and brother Joseph Szekeresh, Uncle John Szekeresh and brother-in-law Jeffrey Antol.
Cuba is survived by his wife of 15 years, Tammy Szekeresh; children, Jessica (Brian) Ferguson, Stepson Donald Lybarger (Heidi); seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Michael John Szekeresh, Paul Daniel (Dee Dee) Szekeresh, and Marie Antol. Special nephew Michael Szekeresh, and many other nieces and nephews.
Member of the Brick Layers Union Local #6, Greater Jackson Twp. Sportsman Club, a lifetime member of the NRA, and belonged to numerous other local clubs and organizations. What he loved most was going to the kid's sporting events, spending time with the grandchildren and his camp at Potter County, and being with special friends Putter, Ed, Dick, and Bummy.
The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, from 1 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 4 PM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
