Shirley (Frederick) Dixon, 53, Jackson Township, died Jan. 13, 2016, at Windber Hospice. Born Aug. 27, 1962, in Colver, daughter of the late Harry and Anna Mae (Bugal) Frederick. Survived by husband, David Dixon Sr., Jackson Township; children, David (Shannon) Dixon Jr. Westmont; Nathan Palko, Johnstown; J.D. (Monica) Palko, Nanty Glo; and Trista (Bobby) Cook, Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Gaven Palko, Gracie and Bella Dixon, Jonah and Julian Palko and Tanner and Bryce Cook; twin sister, Sharleen (Bill) Mallin, Reinholds; Harry Duke (Jennifer) Frederick Jr., Virginia; Janice Divido, Nanty Glo; and Joyce Faish, Nanty Glo; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved pets, Shay and M.C. Tootie. She worked at the Roadster Factory, Armagh. Lodges and organizations include the American Polish Club, Nanty Glo. Shirley loved to go camping, and with her great sense of humor, she could always make people smile. She will be missed by her family and many friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment to follow at Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown.
