Robert Dale Mervine, 74, of Nanty Glo, passed away on August 10, 2025, at his residence. He was the son of the late Clair and Jessie (Clark) Mervine and was born on November 16, 1950, in Strongstown, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Jeffrey Robert Mervine, and his brother, Ken Mervine.
Robert is survived by his wife, MaryAnn (Kotelnicki) Mervine; his daughter, Sabrina, and her husband, Edward Dilginis, of Portage; and his three grandchildren: Lacie Dilginis, Dylan Dilginis, and Kristina Holcomb. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria, and her husband, Dennis Olsavsky, of Alabama.
He worked at Bethlehem Mines and served as the Police Chief in Loretto. Later, he was employed by the Home Depot. Robert was a United States Air Force Veteran and served in the Vietnam War.
Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling. He also liked hunting, camping, and hiking.
