Paul Joseph Lonergan Anonymous The Tribune-Democrat The Tribune-Democrat Fri Sep 16, 2011, 04:39 PM EDT NANTY GLO - LONERGAN - Paul Joseph, 86, Nanty Glo, died peacefully Sept. 15, 2011, at home. Born May 21, 1925, in Bakerton, son of the late Helen (Lonergan) Sadler. Survived by daughter, Deborah, wife of James Pollino, Ebensburg; grandchildren, David James, Rebecca Lynne and Daniel Pollino, all of Ebensburg; sister, Mary Lou Sadler, Catonsville, Md.; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Mildred Bellish, Trenton, N.J.; Bob and Ida Simmers, Nanty Glo; and Vivian Simmers, Erie.; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Member of American Legion, Post 619; Moose Lodge 207; and VFW Post 3489, all of Nanty Glo. Paul was known by many nicknames. "Mootsie" was a football and baseball athlete; "Lonnie" was a World War II Navy veteran; and P.J. was a Banker for 25 years at Laurel/First National Bank. Whatever the nickname, Paul was known for his strong faith and love of family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a liturgical wake will be held Sunday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Father Martin A. Cingle, celebrant. Interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo Recreation Authority or Nanty Glo Fire Department. Veterans service will be conducted by the local veterans organizations
