October 14, 1930 — December 28, 2025

Nanty Glo

Norma Ann Lillian Rubbo Walker Moody, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on December 28, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on October 14, 1930, in Nanty Glo, Norma was the youngest of nine children. As the youngest child, she was cherished and constantly enveloped in affection, attentive care, and a profound sense of love from the very beginning. Norma had what she would describe as the privilege to be married to two amazing men in her life, who both preceded her in death. She endured the profound loss of her husbands with remarkable strength and courage. Never allowing hardship to dull her appreciation for joy or life’s simple pleasures. Her greatest devotion in her lifetime was to her two daughters, Renee and Mari, who meant everything to her. They were the center of her world, her pride, and her constant joy. The bond they all shared was deep and unwavering, and her love for them defined her life. Norma’s love grew as her family expanded. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking immense pride in each of them and delighting in time spent together. They brought her endless happiness, and she treasured every moment watching her family grow across generations. Italian to her core, Norma expressed love through warmth, beauty, and food. She was happiest when others were well fed—always offering something to eat, encouraging second helpings, and taking victorious joy in watching people enjoy what she provided. She was a member of VFW Women’s Auxiliary and United Methodist Women. She also loved dancing, bingo (if it involved cash prizes), makeup, and dressing well. No matter the situation, Norma always made sure she was dressed for the occasion, makeup done and hair styled. Taking care of her appearance was a part of how she moved through the world—with intention, elegance, and pride. Norma was a spirited soul that left a trail of beautiful memories and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Annunziata Rubbo, her siblings Ginevra, Alfonso, Clelia, Armando, Antonio, Archimedes, Camillo and Clara as well as husbands James Walker and Donald Moody. She is survived by her daughters, Renee (Darwin) Campbell and Mari (David) Segal. Her grandchildren Jennifer (Kristopher) Wilson, Amelia (Matthew) Draper, Graham (Leah) Segal and Brandon (Chayce) Campbell, along with great-grandchildren Chase, Wyatt, Dakota, Oakley, Declan and Evelyn; and many extended family members and friends. Visitation will be at the Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 pm. A service celebrating Norma’s life will be held at Nanty Glo United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by burial at Faith United Methodist Church Cemetery Belsano
