Michael J Mundwiler

Michael J. Mundwiler (Mike), age 55, went to be with his Lord on July 28, 2025. Born November 1, 1969, in Johnstown, PA. Son of Boyd and Jackie Mundwiler. Mike was a wonderful Man of God who always put his family and God first.

Mike is survived by his beloved soul mate, Suzy (McCloskey) of 27 years, children, Michael, Ethan, and Fiona, grandchildren Briella and Maverick, Brother Jeffery (Maria), Shy – Ethan’s fiancée, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by infant siblings, Lisa and Gregory, and grandparents. Mike spent his life being a Godly example to everyone who knew him.

Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He was a wonderful, loving husband, and they had a relationship that others would envy. He was a dedicated father, a doting grandfather, and a second father to Shy. Mike was a former member of Bikers for Christ and served as a guest pastor where needed. He loved Majestic Tall Ships, was a self-proclaimed grill master, and let’s not forget, a lover of Eggo waffles. His true ambition was to be a pirate and sail the Bahamian seas, until that plan came to fruition, he bided his time as a Material Handler Supervisor for First Energy over the past 10 years.

He was a pillar of strength, even in his weakness and suffering, and even though he is no longer with us, his love for his family will live on in each of them. Forever our Mighty Warrior.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 6-8 PM, and from 10 AM on Friday until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 AM at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Nanty Glo.
