Mary E. Sanderson

Sanderson-Mary E (Restauri),97, Nanty Glo, passed away Aug 2, 2025 at Forest Hills Personal Care Home. She was born Nov 20, 1927 in Export, Pa. Daughter of the late Guiseppi and Rosina Restauri. Preceded in death by husband John “Red” Sanderson, brother Nick Restauri, sisters Frances Vaglia, Della McPhee, Edith Modis, Stella Grembi, and son-in-law Ed Jaber. Mary is survived by children Lynn (Paula) Sanderson, Sharon Jaber, Mae Rose Sanderson (Patrick Sullivan), and Joe (Dee) Sanderson. Grandchildren Gary (Amanda), Gina (Rob) Sinicki, Corey (Shaina), Cody (Kristin), Jamie (Cody) Kerr, great grandchildren Connor, Mason, Luke, Hannah, Saber, Saxon, Lyndi Mae Sinicki, Nieko Kerr, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and sister-in-law Caryl Sanderson. Member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In her younger years, Mary enjoyed bowling in leagues and going on bus trips to the casinos. She loved flowers from African violets to mums and rose of Sharon. She loved and supported her family in every way, always putting them first. She enjoyed making Sunday dinners on a weekly basis. Family and friends will be received at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo on Tuesday, from 10 AM till the time of funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, at 12 PM. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to Chritine Weaver and the staff of Forest Hills Personal Care Home and Asera Care.
