Linda Marie Deskevich

Deskevich-Linda Marie (Paul), 79, Nanty Glo, passed away June 10, 2025, at Maple Winds Personal Care. She was born January 26, 1946 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Carmelia (Rabidi) Paul. She is preceded in death by in-laws, Louis and Julia Deskevich, grandparents, special aunt and uncle, Ethel and Louis Martinazzi and special cousins Albina Martinazzi and Madeline Martinazzi. Linda is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by husband of 59 years Andrew Deskevich, daughter, Mary Ann (James) Ostinowsky; son, Fr. Andrew Deskevich; precious grandchildren Jonathan Ostinowsky (Kat) and Dr. Morgan (Dr. Chris) Michas, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Ted (Joann) Deskevich and Helen Peduzzi; special cousins Ron Martinazzi, Ken and Barbara Martinazzi, Bob Martinazzi, Darnell Hodge, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and belonged to the singing group. She worked at Cletes Tire and Parts for 24 years and Skills of Central PA Inc for 29 years. Visitation will be at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo on Monday, from 2 -6 PM, where Panachida will be sung at 2 PM. The Funeral Liturgy is scheduled for 10:30 AM on Tuesday at St. Nicholas Byzantine Church, Nanty Glo with Fr. Andrew Deskevich as the Celebrant. Attendees are requested to go directly to the church. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
