"A more bashful lad, you'd never want to meet, but once you get to know him, he is quite a treat." Although Kenny was a quiet man, once you got him talking about cars to trucks, he could talk your ear off. He owned McCloskey's Garage for 30-plus years and he was a well-known and respected mechanic. He loved spending time with his family and friends, doing mechanical work, Fords, racing and truck pulling. He was a member of the VFW in Nanty Glo and Vintondale, the Russian Club of Johnstown and the Fireman's Club in Vintondale. Kenny was a pleasant man and you never saw him without a smile on his face. He was a generous man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He taught his family so many things, from working on cars to just having a good time in life. He will always be remembered for his vast knowledge of vehicles and how to fix them and that he was just a nice guy. He was very much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all, especially his wife, "Dorie." Until we meet again buddy, "you were the best." Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Richard Marckel, officiating. Interment, Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the National Kidney Foundation.
