John Stephens

Stephens-John, 84, Strongstown, passed away Nov. 18, 2018 at home. He was born April 10, 1934 in Strongstown. Son of the late William and Bessie (DeArmy) Stephens. Preceded in death sister Rosella Norton and brother William Stephens. John is survived by his wife the former Janet Kelly, Strongstown. Children Francis Ondriezek, Strongstown and Monica Stephens (Tim Bennett), New Holland. Granddaughter Brittany Ondriezek, Strongstown. Brother of Ed (Nancy) Stephens, Strongstown, Robert Stephens, Nanty Glo, and Lawrence Stephens, Conemaugh. He retired from Bethlem Mine #33 and was part owner of Stephens Garage, Strongstown. John was a Navy Veteran and enjoyed going to antique car shows, swap meets, and auctions. Friends will be received Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where funeral services will be Saturday 1PM. Pastor Bill Warrick, officiating. Interment to follow in Pineland, Cemetery.
