John J Ley

Ley-John J., 72, South Fork, passed away Aug 17, 2026 at home with his loved ones. He was born on May 28, 1954 in Johnstown. Son of the late Francis and Agnes (Gebacz) Ley. Preceded in death by siblings Francis Ley Jr., Thomas Ley and Mary Thomas. Surviving is his daughter Heather (Craig) Mattimore, grandchildren Zerick Hazie and Layla Hazie, siblings Victoria Peterman, Catherine Bierling, Edward Ley, Louis Ley. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. John enjoyed hunting, classic cars, and spending time with his family and best friend Bill. At John’s request, there will be no public services. Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo are in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to pancreatic cancer research, through the American Cancer Society website.
