John Edward Kruper

Kruper-John Edward, 84, Jackson Twp., passed away Oct. 11, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 21, 1935 in Nanty Glo. Son of the late Steve and Ruth (Davis) Kruper. Son Jerry Mark Kruper, brother Steven, Paul, James, Donald, and Kenneth. Sister Veronica Sanderson. Brothers-in-law Leo Sanderson and Steven Silich. Sisters-n-law Donna Silich and Dorothy Kruper. John is survived by his wife of 60 years the former Leona Krug, Jackson Twp. Children John Kruper, Jackson Twp.; Gregory (Marcie) Kruper, Johnstown; Kara (Robert) Waltemire, Belsano; Jeannine (Matthew) Estok, Nanty Glo. Grandchildren Kristy (Jared), Jessica, and Davin and 3 great grandchildren. Brother of Ronald Kruper, Twin Rocks; Marian (Jerry) McGlynn, Twin Rocks; Kathleen (Francis) Schilling, Belsano. Numerous nieces and nephews. Sisters-in-law Yvonne Kruper, Janice Kruper, Linda Kruper, Dorothy (Tyson) Rummel, and Mary Ann (Robert) Slippy. Member of the former St. Charles Church, Twin Rocks, where he was in the choir and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Veteran of the US Air Force. He was a Member of the Nanty Glo American Legion, Post #619. Visitation will be on Monday 3-7 PM at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo, Fr. Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks.
