Janet "Louise" Wurm

Janet “Louise” Wurm, 84, Nanty Glo, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026. She was born March 3, 1942, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Pershing “Tony” and Erma Little. Proceeded in death by her husband, of 59 years, Arthur Wurm on December 13, 2022. Her brothers William and Garry Little, brother-in-law Christopher McDermott and a granddaughter Elizabeth Stever. Louise is survived by her three sisters, Arlene (Robert) Cameron, Donna (William) Roland, and Karen (Thomas) Holby. Children Garry (Jacquie) Wurm, Kimbra (Richard) Stever and Jennifer (Anthony) Warynovich. Grandchildren Richard & Olivia Stever, Isaac & Jack Wurm, & Drew & Zoie Warynovich, and sister-in-law Claire Ann McDermott. Louise was a devoted mother and a loving grandmother. Louise worked for the Cambria County Office. On Aging for over 25 years as the Director of the Nanty Glo Senior Center. She touched the lives of many area senior citizens, with her love and compassion. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Just Like Home in Cresson PA and Pinnacle Hospice, for their excellent care. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 8, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, 1102 Cardiff Road, Nanty-Glo, PA, where funeral service will be on Thursday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
