NANTY GLO McMULLEN James L., 74, Nanty Glo, died Sept. 4, 2012, at home. Born Nov. 26, 1937, son of the late Lloyd and Irene (Shaw) McMullen. Preceded in death by brothers, Danny McMullen and James Greenaway. Survived by wife, the former Patricia Cohick, Nanty Glo; children, Brian (Marge), Shawn (Jess) and Tammy (Rich) George, all of Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Troy, Charlotte, Dalton, Payton, Kylee and Ethan; great-grandson, Devlin; brothers and sisters, Patsy James, Ohio; John Marty (Barbara), Delaware; Lloyd Buddy (Helen), Nanty Glo; Donna (Pat) Kimble, Tipton; and Paul (Joyce), Nanty Glo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was affiliated with St. Marys Church, Nanty Glo, where he served as an usher. He retired from the Air National Guard. He was secretary of Nanty Glo Polish Club, Nanty Glo Legion, St. Marys Cemetery Committee, Zoning Commission, past member of Blacklick Valley School Board, Nanty Glo Recreation Authority and Nanty Glo Borough Council. Friends were received Wednesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a liturgical wake was held Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Marys Church, the Rev. Father David Peles, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Marys Cemetery Committee. Veteran services will be conducted by the local veteran organizations.
