Galli-James Michael, “Jim”, 68, Nanty Glo, passed away unexpectedly at home Feb. 26, 2021. He was born June 15, 1952 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by Parents Angelo and Matilda “Kit” (Bechel) Galli and Brother-in-law Jack Yeager. Jim is survived by Brother John, husband of Antoinette Galli, Nanty Glo; Sisters Ann Marie, wife of Dominick Persio, Blandon, and Linda (Galli) Yeager, Johnstown. Also survived by Nieces and Nephews Angela, Stephanie, Mark, and Jason; Melissa, Amy, and Stacey; David and Jen. Jim retired from Blacklick Valley School District’s Maintenance Department after 47 years of service. He also retired from the 28th MP Company, PA National Guard with 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Nanty Glo, where he served as an usher. Jim enjoyed going to camp “The Pines” and taking all his nieces and nephews down the old dirt road on the back of his truck spotting deer and stopping at Dairy Queen. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Liturgical Wake will be held. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Fr. Leonard Voytek, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, in Jim’s memory.
