Nanty Glo, Pa

Erik J. Napolitano of Nanty Glo Passed away January 28, 2026, peacefully at home after a courageous battle with bile duct cancer. He was born January 15, 1972, In Cornwall, New York. He was the son of the late John Napolitano, Sr and Margaret " Peggy" Harmon. Erik Is preceded in death by his first wife Melissa (Fatula) Napolitano, mother-in-law Mary Anne Strittmatter, sister Tracey (Jimmy) Walker, and brother-in-law Rich Tilger. Erik is survived by his loving wife Kerry (Kovach) Napolitano, his loving sons Erik and Jake, along with his stepchildren Josh (Kacie) Yokitis, Christian (Hannah), and Madison Salvaggo, and mother-in-law Kathy (Kovach) Keilman. Erik Adored his granddaughters Nora and Savannah Yokitis whom he loved very much. He is also survived by his siblings John (Renee) Angel, Todd (Heather), and Laura (David) and extended family Bubba (Shannon), Jennifer (Marcus), Jesse (Katie) and Amanda (Chris). To know Erik was to love him. Everywhere he went someone was calling his name and saying what a great guy he is. Erik touched the lives of many people throughout the community, especially through his love of coaching. Erik coached football, basketball, and baseball and was always positive and encouraging and left a lasting impression. When he wasn't coaching, he loved watching his boys play sports and never missed a game. Erik Loved taking spontaneous road trips, sitting on the front porch in the evenings, and developed a love of music. He is the self-proclaimed best chaired dancer ever. Erik continued to play softball as an adult and with his stepsons in numerous tournaments. He did "retire" after his last tournament this past summer. He continued to make more friends and touched so many more people playing a game he loved. Erik Loved weekend trips to camp in Tionesta where he loved to kayak and build nightly bonfires. You would always see Eric with a beer in one hand and a twisted tea in the other. Erik wanted to retire at camp while Kerry continued to work in town and kayak across the river to get there while Eric cut the grass. One of the greatest joys in his life was spending time with his beautiful granddaughters Nora and Savannah. They truly lit up his heart when they entered a room and called him Pop Pop. Erik is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is survived by his special nephew David. He loved cutting firewood, drinking beer, and just spending time with him. David was like a son, brother, nephew, and friend. A special thank you goes to his cousin Emilie. She was a true gift from God throughout the past few months from early morning texts, late night calls, and everything in between. Erik will be missed like no other but is no longer suffering and is now in the kingdom of Heaven.
