Donald F. Saghy

Saghy-Donald F. 82, Nanty Glo, passed away Jan. 27, 2026 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1943. Son of the late Joseph and Mary (Markovich) Saghy. Preceded in death by brothers Bud Blehar, Bill Blehar, and Joseph Saghy, Jr. He is Survived by wife the former Deborah Hawthrone, children Mark (Dianne) Saghy, Mike (Kim) Saghy, and Carrie Anne (Paul) Sheppard. Grandchildren Victoria Rhodes, Robert Saghy, Alyssa Saghy, Caitlin Kilbane, Benjaman Sheppard, and Samatha Sheppard. Stepdaughter Danielle (Adam) Luko, step grandson Ethan Luko. Member of St. Mary’s Church Nanty Glo. Don always had a story to tell that would make others laugh. His larger than live presence would fill the room. Visitation will be Friday from 3-6 PM at Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, Funeral Mass will be Saturday, 9:30 AM at St. John Vianney’s Church, Fr. Kevin Queally, the Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
