Darlene Bopp, 72, of Vintondale, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on February 11, 1954, the daughter of Gilbert and Viola Hopfer.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Daniel Bopp; sisters Alberta Reese, Rae, Iline Machuta, Mary Edwards, and Barbara; and brothers Lawrence and Sherman Hopfer.

Darlene is survived by her children, Melissa (Eugene) Kerley, Christina Barnhart (Gary Shirley), and Daniel (Lisa) Bopp; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Edgar Hopfer; her special niece, Patty (Dale) Wess; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene will be fondly remembered for her spontaneous singing of songs she made up, her joyful (and frequent) trips to Goodwill, spending time with family, watching true crime stories, and crocheting blankets for her great-grandchildren.

At Darlene’s request, there will be no public services. Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
