Daniel S "Fitz" Banfield

Banfield-Daniel S. “Fitz” 64, passed away June 6, 2025, at the Somerset Healthcare and rehabilitation center. He was born March 12, 1961, in Johnstown. He was the youngest son of the Thomas O. and Eleanor (Sunderland) Banfield. He is preceded in death by parents, brothers Gary and Terry Banfield and nephew Shawn Banfield. Daniel is survived by sister-in-law Mary Ann Banfield, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dan was resident at Somerset Rehab, where he was very sociable and loved to help with the gardening at the rehab. Graveside services will be held at Lloyd Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Bowser Ondriezek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Nanty Glo.
